(in Honor of Karen Siemsen) In 1999 Karen Siemsen, Volunteer Manager of the Concord
Police Department envisioned providing quality training and networking
opportunities for both volunteers and volunteer coordinators.
Through her vision the conference has developed into the non-profit
organization known as Law Enforcement Volunteers of California
(LEVOC). The LEVOC "Karen Siemsen Volunteer Coordinator of the Year" perpetual award will be presented at the LEVOC conference to one law enforcement volunteer coordinator who best exemplifies these attributes. |
(in Honor of Bud Shropshire) Bud Shropshire, a volunteer with the Lodi Police Department was a founding member of the LEVOC Committee. To honor his outstanding service to police volunteerism, we developed the LEVOC "Bud Shropshire Volunteer of the Year" Award which was presented posthumously at the 2005 conference. LEVOC recognizes the value of law enforcement volunteers, and it is with that same spirit that this perpetual award was established. The LEVOC "Bud Shropshire Volunteer of the Year" Award will be presented each year at the LEVOC conference to one law enforcement volunteer who best exemplifies these attributes. |
