Bud Shropshire was a volunteer with the Lodi Police Department and an original member of LEVOC. He passed away in 2005. He was an exceptional police volunteer and in his memory the LEVOC "Bud Shropshire Volunteer of the Year" Perpetual Award was developed and presented to his widow at the 2005 LEVOC conference. LEVOC recognizes the value of all law enforcement volunteers, and it is with that same spirit that this perpetual award was established.
Bud Shropshire displayed professional accomplishments, infallible loyalty, friendship, dependability and dedication to duty which earned him respect and admiration of his law enforcement agency and community members. The LEVOC "Bud Shropshire Volunteer of the Year" Perpetual Award will be presented each year at the LEVOC conference to one law enforcement volunteer who best exemplifies these attributes. The recipient will receive a personal plaque along with the perpetual award which will be displayed at his/her agency for the year.
